Pune, known for its cultural vibrancy, is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Empress Garden Flower Show 2024. The annual spectacle is scheduled to take place at Empress Botanical Garden, situated off Solapur Road near St Patrick’s Church, between January 25 and 28. Nestled near Race Course, the garden not only serves as a hub for tourism and entertainment but is also a center for the exploration of botanical science.
Organized by The Agri Horticultural Society of Western India, the flower show has become a hallmark event, drawing visitors from far and wide to witness the breathtaking display of floral marvels.
Cultivating Creativity: Drawing and Handwriting Competition
Adding an educational and artistic flair to the event, a drawing and handwriting competition is organized annually on the occasion of the flower show. With more than 1200 students participating in the exhibition, this competition, scheduled for January 21, provides a platform for young talents to showcase their artistic skills amidst the blooms.
Inauguration by Dignitary: Vijaykumar Magar
The grand inauguration of the Empress Garden Flower Show 2024 is scheduled for January 25, with Vijaykumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune City, set to inaugurate the event. The inauguration ceremony will mark the commencement of four days filled with the enchanting fragrance and vibrant colors of nature. After the inauguration, the exhibition will remain open until 7.30 PM, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty on display.
Extended Exhibition Hours: January 26-28
Continuing the celebration, the exhibition will remain open on January 26, 27, and 28 from 9 AM to 7.30 PM, ensuring that everyone has ample time to experience the floral splendor that the Empress Garden has to offer.
