Pune: Gang Vandalism Continues – 8-9 Vehicles Targeted In Maharshi Nagar

Pune Crime News

The disturbing trend of gang-related vandalism in Pune shows no signs of abating, leaving vehicle owners to bear the brunt of significant financial losses once more. In a recent incident that unfolded in the Maharshi Nagar area, a gang unleashed their destructive spree, targeting and vandalizing 8 to 9 vehicles under the cover of darkness.

Maharshi Nagar, falling within the jurisdiction of the Swargate police station in Pune, was the unfortunate location of this incident. On a fateful Sunday night, an unidentified gang embarked on their rampage, causing extensive damage to several four-wheelers. The vehicles bore the brunt of this attack, with shattered windows and dents, leaving owners to grapple with the aftermath. Following their destructive spree, the perpetrators swiftly fled the scene, prompting a comprehensive investigation by the police. Authorities are currently scouring through CCTV footage in the hopes of uncovering valuable leads to track down the culprits.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another distressing episode that occurred just two days prior in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Colony, situated near Market Yard. In this separate act of vandalism, a different gang targeted two-wheelers, wielding swords and choppers as their destructive tools. This reckless rampage resulted in the damage of approximately ten to twelve vehicles, with headlines of numerous two-wheelers left in disarray. Some two-wheelers suffered damage to their petrol tanks, courtesy of the machetes and swords, while the tail lamps of other vehicles were brutally shattered in this senseless act of vandalism.

These incidents of gang-related vehicle vandalism have left Pune residents deeply concerned about the safety of their property and the overall security of their neighborhoods. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend those responsible and put an end to this destructive trend that has disrupted the peace and security of the city. In the meantime, vehicle owners are urged to remain vigilant and take precautions to safeguard their vehicles from potential attacks.
