PUNE: The sickle gang has been in the news since many months and the police have taken action against the gang. The issue has been reflected in the Ganpati immersion procession and Vaibhav Mitra Mandal has created a decoration based on the theme of the sickle gang. The decoration is grabbing eyeballs during the immersion procession.
In the last few months, there have been many incidents wherein minors and youths carrying sickles have issued threats and attacked residents. The police have taken strict action against the sickle gang and MCOCA has been used against some gangs. The Vaibhav Mitra Mandal has created a decoration based on the theme of the sickle gang to create awareness. A sketch of DCP Sandip Singh Gill has been used in the decoration. A message states, ‘Don’t waste your life because of a sickle.’ Hence, this decoration grabbed the attention of many people.
