PUNE: Two women stopped the vehicles of senior police officers by parking their two-wheeler in front of them and argued with them by telling them that their testimony should be recorded and it was more important than bandobast. The incident took place on October 14 from 8.45 to 9.15 from Poultry Chowk Khadki to Sangamwadi BRTS bus stop footpath. An FIR has been registered against the two women at the Yerawada police station.
Tousif Sayyad of Chandan Nagar police station has lodged a complaint. The accused chased the police officer’s vehicle from Poultry Chowk Khadki to Sangamwadi BRT bus stop. The complainant was going with senior officers for government work. At Sangamwadi, the women blocked their vehicle by parking their two-wheeler in front of them. The women argued with police officials. When the complainant got down from the vehicle, the women pushed him. An FIR has been registered against the two women for obstructing government work. PSI Prerna Kulkarni is investigating the case.
