Pune: Family loses their daughter on Raksha Bandhan day due to accident

PUNE: An unfortunate incident took place in Pune on the day of Raksha Bandhan. The driver of a car lost control after a tyre burst and the car fell into Khadakwasla dam. A 16-year-old girl died due to drowning. However, three members of a family were saved. The incident took place on Pune-Panshet road on Wednesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Sanskruti Pradeep Pawar. Pradeep Pawar, staying in the Nanded City area, was on his way to his ancestral village in Panshet in a car. At 7 pm, the tyres of his car burst and Pradeep Pawar lost control over the car. The car fell into the dam.

Since it was the rush hour, many vehicles were passing-by. Several people rushed to the spot after they came to know about the incident. After they saw that the car had been washed away, local residents jumped into the dam and pulled out three to four people.

However, Sanskruti was stuck in the car and she was pulled out in the night and rushed to a hospital. However, the doctors said that she passed away during treatment. The Pawar family is under a shock after losing their daughter. It was an unfortunate coincidence that the Pawar family lost their daughter on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
