PUNE: The Chandan Nagar police have arrested an externed criminal and seized a pistol from him. The police took this action on the riverside road. The accused has been identified as Rohit Raju Dhadve (22), a resident of Chandan Nagar.
Policeman Shrikant Kodre of Chandan Nagar police station came to know that externed criminal Rahul Dhadve who is on the records of the Yerawada police, was moving around on the riverside road of Riverdale Society. When the police reached there, they found that he was standing under a tree. He tried to run away but was apprehended by the police. When he was searched, the police found a pistol in his trouser.
The accused is on the records of Yerawada police station. He has been externed by DCP zone 4 in July 2023 from Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune district for two years. An FIR has been registered against him under the Arm Act and Maharashtra Police Act at the Chandan Nagar police station.
The action was taken under the guidance of CP Ritesh Kumar, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Shashikant Borate, ACP Sanjay Patil and instructions of Senior PI Rajendra Landge, PI Manisha Patil by API Prashant Mane, policeman Ganesh Handgar, Shivaji Dhande, Shrikant Shende, Sachin Randive, Avinash Sankpal, Subhash Awhad, Mahesh Nanekar, Suhas Nigde, Shrikant Kodre, Suraj Jadhav and Shekhar Shinde.
