Pune: In a horrific accident on Thursday, September 14 on Katraj Dehu Road bypass in Vadgaon Budruk area around 2:30 pm three trucks collided with each other seriously injuring one of the truck drivers. All the three vehicles were heavily damaged.
The name of the injured driver is Balasaheb Badhe (26) a resident of Velli in Pathardi in Nagar. An Eicher truck and trailer loaded with steel rods were coming from Katraj to Navale Bridge via the bypass. At that time the driver lost control and the Eicher truck hit the dumper stopped at the signal. The trailer behind it collided with the truck. In the collision, the Eicher truck driver was trapped between the two vehicles.
Police sub-inspector of Sinhagad Road police station Swapnil Lohar and Police Sub-Inspector of Traffic Branch Arvind Pawar reached the spot along with the staff. They pulled both the vehicles aside with the help of a crane and took the driver out and admitted him to the hospital for treatment.
Lohar is investigating the case. Meanwhile, due to this accident, there was a huge traffic jam at Navale Pool Chowk.
