PUNE: The Pune district has recorded rainfall of 443.9 mm in the first three months of the monsoon. The percentage of the rainfall recorded so far compared to the average rainfall this month is 66.3 per cent. Compared to last year, this year, 322.8 mm rain has been recorded.
Last year, till this date, the Pune district has recorded 766.7 mm rainfall. The percentage of the rainfall recorded last year is 114.5 per cent of the average rainfall of the first three months.
This means that last year, compared to the average rainfall, there was 14.5 per cent more rainfall, according to the data of the monsoon published by the district administration.
Till the end of the day today, only three talukas i.e. Bhor, Maval and Ambegaon have recorded more than the average rainfall. In Baramati and Purandar talukas, less than half of the average rainfall has been recorded.
The average rainfall in Pune district from June 1, 2023 till August 26, 2023 is 669.7 mm. Actually, till the end of the day today, 443.9 mm rain has been recorded.
The District Superintendent Agricultural Office records the rainfall every day from June 1 every year. According to it, the data of rainfall recorded by each taluka, monthly average rainfall and exact recorded rainfall compared to the total average rainfall is published every night.
Meanwhile, Pune city has recorded a total rainfall of 256.1 mm in the last three months. The average rainfall of three months in Pune is 450.2 mm. The percentage of rainfall in three months is 56.9 per cent.
