Pune District Cooperative Housing Society and Apartments Federation to Address Housing Society Issues

Pune: The Pune District Cooperative Housing Society Federation is gearing up to conduct a program aimed at addressing the concerns and issues faced by residents of housing societies. This initiative aims to provide a platform for residents to gain a better understanding of their challenges and work towards finding effective solutions.

Suhas Patwardhan, the President of Pune District Cooperative Housing Society, highlighted the federation’s extensive experience in serving housing societies for nearly five decades. The federation represents around 18,000 housing companies and 15,000 apartments across Pune city and the district. He mentioned that the housing landscape in Maharashtra includes various types of home construction projects, such as MHADA, CIDCO, CHAL, bungalows, townships, and apartments, each catering to different income groups.

Given the diverse nature of housing societies, the issues faced by residents can vary significantly. These issues might revolve around flat types, open plot types, and society maintenance. To address these concerns effectively, the Pune District Cooperative Housing Society is planning to organize dedicated dialogue sessions for different types of cooperative housing societies.

To facilitate this process, the federation has invited all members to share their specific problems. The federation will then schedule meetings and inform the concerned parties about the dates and venues through platforms like WhatsApp and email.

Residents who wish to raise their concerns are encouraged to provide details such as the society’s name, address, the individual’s name, contact number, and a brief description of the problem. This information can be shared via email at [email protected] or through the dedicated WhatsApp number: +91 – 96075 05363.

This proactive approach by the Pune District Cooperative Housing Society and Apartments Federation reflects their commitment to fostering better communication, understanding, and resolution of issues within housing societies, ultimately contributing to enhanced living experiences for the residents.
