Pune: Deputy Municipal Commissioners to Get Notices for Failing to Submit Structural Audit Reports of Hoardings in City

Pune Municipal Corporation

Pune, 14th July 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation is taking a tough stance against its own colleagues who have failed to complete assigned tasks within the given timeframe. According to reports, notices will be served to the deputy municipal commissioners of the civic body for not submitting the structural audit reports of legal hoardings placed in the city.

The civic body had issued an order to conduct structural audits of the hoardings and requested details regarding the number of hoardings present in the city. The concerned officials were given a specific timeline to submit the reports, with a warning of potential consequences for failing to meet the deadline.

However, despite the instructions, many officials did not complete the structural audits or submit the reports within the given timeframe. Some of the officials who did submit the details provided incomplete information. Show cause notices were previously issued to these officials, granting them additional time to submit the reports on the structural audits of the hoardings.

Since the reports have still not been submitted even after the extension, the Pune Municipal Corporation will now issue notices to the deputy municipal commissioners, inquiring why their promotions and appraisals should not be put on hold, according to officials.
