Pune Court Grants Conditional Bail to Son Accused of Matricide in Property Dispute Case

Pune: A son who brutally murdered his mother over a property dispute was granted conditional bail on a fine of Rs 1 lakh by the Sessions Court Judge R. R. Mendhe.

As per the information the deceased woman was missing. The accused and his wife were constantly harassing her. There were repeated complaints in this regard in Mundhwa police station. The Mundhwa police taking serious notice of the case had given notice to the accused and his wife and others who were involved in harassment.

On August 5, 2023, the deceased woman had a heated argument with her son and daughter-in-law. After the fight she threw his son and daughter-in-law out of the house. And after that she disappeared.

The accused lodged a complaint about his mother’s disappearance at the Mundhwa police station. The Mundhwa police station while investigating the case and searching the woman found body parts of the dead woman in the Mula-Meta river within the limits of Lonikand police station. Mundhwa police registered a case against the accused who is the son of the deceased woman and also his daughter-in-law.

Accused through his advocate Shubhangi Parulekar has made a bail application in Pune Sessions Court. Advocate Parulekar appearing for the accused said there was no eyewitness to the incident and the accused was not residing at the place at the time of the incident. Therefore, the actual involvement of the accused in the said incident is not seen. The accused had no intention to commit the crime. Court drew attention to these matters and accepting this argument the court ordered the conditional bail of the accused.
