Pune: Childcare Worker Faces Molestation in Keshavnagar Residential Building; Complaint Filed at Mundhwa Police Station

Pune: The woman working as a childcare worker was allegedly molested by a person from the Mundhwa area. This incident took place on Saturday, January 6, at around 5 p.m. in the evening in the premises of a society in Keshavnagar, Mundhwa area.

In this regard, a 43-year-old woman living in Ghorpadi village filed a complaint against the accused, Vishal Bhat, at Mundhwa police station on Tuesday (9th).

The plaintiff worked as a childcare worker in a residential society in the Keshavnagar area. On Saturday, when a woman took children to the society’s premises to play in the evening, the accused, Bhat, came there and molested the woman, making sexually explicit gestures while looking at her.

The plaintiff reported this entire incident to her employer after that. Taking note of it, when her employer confronted the accused about his behaviour, the accused threatened them with filing an atrocity case against them. Therefore, the victim woman decided to seek the recourse of the police and filed a complaint against the accused at Mundhwa police station.

Accordingly, the police register a case against the accused under sections 354A and 506 of the IPC and initiate further inquiry into the case.
