Pune: Changes made in traffic arrangements in Deccan and Chaturshringi areas

Pune Traffic Police

PUNE: To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, the Deccan Traffic Division has made the stretch of the road located on the northern side opposite 1228/B, Green At, Apte Road, Pune from DP box to Venus lane and the road on the western side till the DP, a no-parking area on both sides of the road.

If the citizens have any suggestions and objections to these temporary changes, then they should send a letter to DCP, Traffic Division Branch, Yerawada post office, Bungalow number, Jail Road, Pune till September 13.

Final orders will be issued after considering the suggestions and objections and after exempting vehicles used for emergency services, DCP (Traffic), Pune city, Vijaykumar Magar has informed.

In the Chaturshringi traffic division, a part of the road at the ABL House (Rangehills Corner) would be closed temporarily because the work of the pillar is going to be started in the middle of the road and also for construction of double decker flyover at the SPPU Chowk. To prevent inconvenience to commuters, a change has been made in the traffic arrangements at the Rangehills Corner under the Chatuhshrungi traffic division on trial basis from August 29 till further orders.

Accordingly, commuters have been barred from taking a right turn at the Rangehills Corner after coming from Shivaji Nagar to go towards Range Hills. The alternative route for commuters will be as follows: While travelling from Shivaji Nagar and going towards Range Hills, commuters will have to take a U turn between metro pillar number 20 and 21 opposite Cosmos Bank and take a left turn at Rangehills Corner to go to their destination.

The residents should take note of the change and cooperate with the traffic department, DCP (Traffic) Vijaykumar Magar has informed.
