Pune: Chandni Chowk new flyover ready; Drone video shared on Twitter

PUNE: The construction of the much talked about flyover at the Chandni Chowk has been completed. The inauguration of the flyover will be done by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and CM Eknath Shinde on August 12. A video of the flyover shot by a drone is now available.

Every day, 1.5 lakh people travel through Chandni Chowk. The old bridge was built by the PWD in 1992. Since traffic jams became a regular affair at Chandni Chowk, plans had been made to build a new bridge.

The demolition of the old bridge in October 2022 was also talked about and now, the new bridge is going to be inaugurated.

After the construction of the new flyover was completed, a video shot from a drone, showcasing its grandeur is now available and has been shared on Twitter. Local residents are complaining about traffic jams at the Chandni Chowk and they hope that the congestion will reduce after the flyover is inaugurated.
