Pune: Case registered against three people including prostitution racket owner for pushing a minor girl into a prostitution business

Pune: In a shocking incident a prostitution racket owner on the pretext of providing a job in a beauty parlour brought one minor girl from Bangladesh to Pune and sold her for prostitution business. For the past two years, she was engaged in prostitution business. In this case, Faraskhana Police has registered a case against prostitution racket owner and three other people.

A case has been registered against prostitution racket owner Dolma Raju Tamang (55) a resident of Budhwar Peth, Maria alias Soni and a man. Manisha Pukale, police constable of the Social Security Department, has filed a complaint in Faraskhana Police Station.

According to the information provided by the police, “Maria alias Soni, a Bangladeshi woman broker who offers work in a beauty parlour brought a 17-year-old girl from Dhaka, Bangladesh to India without a permit. She was handed over by Soni to a Nepali man. The man brought her to prostitution racket owner Dolma Tamang to Pune.

She was forced into prostitution. The Social Security Department came to know about this, after which the police conducted a raid and rescued the young woman. Police Inspector Anita Hivarkar is investigating the case.”
