Pune Car Break-In: Thieves Target Sayaji Hotel Parking, Swipe Laptop and iPhone

In a disconcerting incident that unfolded late on Thursday, October 5, the parking lot of Sayaji Hotel in Wakad, situated along the Pune-Bangalore highway, bore witness to a theft. Criminals shattered the car’s window, making away with a laptop and an iPhone.

The victim of this audacious theft, Rajivaranjan Umeshkumar Sinha, 35, hailing from Talegaon Dabhade, wasted no time in reporting the incident. He promptly lodged a complaint with the Wakad police station, resulting in the registration of a case against an unidentified individual linked to the theft.

According to the preliminary police investigation, Sinha had parked his vehicle in the hotel’s parking area when the thieves seized their opportunity. The stolen laptop carries an estimated value of Rs 70,000, while the iPhone is assessed at Rs 25,000.

Wakad police are currently engaged in an active search for the perpetrator responsible for this crime. The theft has ignited concerns about the security of vehicles and valuables in the vicinity, prompting local authorities to heighten vigilance in the area.
