Pune: Bappa of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust will be placed in ‘Mayurpankh’ chariot; Immersion procession will start at 7 pm

PUNE: The immersion procession of the Bappa of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust will begin from 7 pm on Thursday. An attractive ‘Mayurpankh’ chariot has been prepared and the idol of the deity will be placed in the beautifully decorated chariot. This information was given by the Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festival Head Punit Balan.

The immersion procession will begin on Thursday after 10 days of celebrations. Punit Balan, the Festival Head of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, which is the first public Ganesh mandal in the country, while giving information about the procession, said, “Like every year, a grand immersion procession of the Bappa will be organised. After the immersion of the revered Ganpatis is over, the immersion procession of the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust will begin at 7 pm. For the procession, the Mayurpankh chariot has been beautifully decorated and dhol tasha troupes will perform in the traditional manner. It will include teams of Samarth Troupe, Ramanbaug Troupe and Shriram Troupe. A display of masculine sports will also be held in front of the chariot which can be seen by Ganesh devotees all over the world and Puneites.”

“The immersion ceremony of the Bappa in Pune is the centre of attraction of all Ganpati devotees. Hence, all Ganesh mandals make efforts to ensure that the procession is held in a grand manner. We are also working on similar lines. Maximum number of Ganesh devotees should participate in the immersion procession and bid adieu to Ganpati with devotion,” said Punit Balan, Trustee of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Festival Head.
