The operation, conducted at Karvenagar, Kakade Plaza, Panchsheel Mitra Mandal, under the jurisdiction of the Warje Karvenagar Zonal Office, uncovered Bakshi’s illegal activities, prompting swift intervention from local authorities.

Bakshi’s unauthorized practice, which involved administering both allopathic and Ayurvedic medicines to patients, violated Section 33 (1) of the Maharashtra Medical Profession Act, 1961. Following a meticulous investigation by the Medical Regional Officer of the Warje Karvenagar Regional Office, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Bakshi’s illegal activities were brought to light, necessitating immediate action to safeguard public health and safety.

In response to the discovery of Bakshi’s illegal activities, preventive measures were promptly initiated, signaling the PMC’s unwavering commitment to curbing unlawful medical practices in the region. On June 3, 2024, a formal case was registered against Ujwal Kumar Sanil Bakshi at the Warje Police Station, marking a significant step towards accountability and justice.

The crackdown on Bakshi’s illegal piles treatment center was spearheaded by Dr. Suryakant Deokar, Assistant Health Officer, and Dr. Kalpana Baliwant, In-charge Health Officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation.
