Pune: Auditoriums witness record bookings for Oct-Dec period

PUNE: Art and culture lovers will be able to enjoy quality programmes for three months. Organisers of plays and cultural bodies have started making preparations and the advance booking of major auditoriums for next three months has been done. Managements of schools have done advance booking for conducting their gatherings.

After the Ganesh festival concludes, many cultural programmes are held in the city from October to December. Various programmes like plays, cultural programmes, Navratra, Diwali Pahat, musical events and film festivals are organised in the city at various auditoriums like Balgandharva Rangamandir, Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium, Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Smarak, Ganesh Kala Kreeda Manch. School gatherings are held in December. Last year, less programmes were organised and this year, various programmes will be held as usual.

From Monday to Wednesday, prize distribution programmes, music programmes are held. From Thursday to Sunday, organisers of plays have booked various auditoriums. Four sessions are being held at these auditoriums and organisers of plays have booked afternoon sessions at Balgandharva Rangmandir and Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium.

Various organisations have booked Balgandharva Rangamandir for 84 programmes Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium has been booked by various organisations for holding get-togethers, lavni and dance programmes.
Supriya Hendre, Manager of auditoriums, PMC said, “During the October-December period, many programmes are held. Booking has been done for three months. The booking has been done for all sessions of Balgandharva Rangamandir and 80 pc booking has been done at Yashwantrao Chavan auditorium.”
