Pune APMC Witnesses Impressive Surge in Revenue for FY 2023-24

Market Yard Records Rs 68 Crore Revenue, Marking Rs 16 Crore Increase from Previous Fiscal Year

Pune News: The Agricultural Product Market Committee (APMC) of Pune, popularly known as Market Yard, has reported a significant surge in revenue for the financial year 2023-24, marking a notable increase of Rs 16 crores compared to the previous fiscal year.

Rajaram Dhondkar, Secretary of Pune APMC, expressed satisfaction with the commendable financial performance, stating, “The APMC has recorded a total revenue of Rs 68.40 crores for the FY 2023-24. This substantial increase is particularly noteworthy as it reflects a Rs 16 crore rise from the revenue of FY 2022-23, which stood at Rs 52.56 crores.”

Efforts to boost revenue generation included implementing measures to facilitate regular cess payments, alongside enhancing market facilities. The effective implementation of these strategies contributed to the notable revenue growth, reaching Rs 68.40 crores for the fiscal year.

Moreover, the market committee has diligently monitored the abundant supply of essential commodities such as vegetables, fruits, and flowers, ensuring efficient market operations and optimal revenue generation.

The Pune APMC, serving as a pivotal hub for agricultural trade, encompasses primary markets for jaggery, fruits and vegetables, flowers, bananas, and leaves. Additionally, revenue streams are diversified through sub-markets located in Uttamnagar, Khadki, Moshi, Pimpri, Manjari, among others.
