PUNE : Traffic arrangements have been changed in Sarasbaug and Swargate area on the occasion of birth anniversary of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe on August 1. Many people visit Sarasbaug to garland the statue of Annabhau Sathe. Traffic arrangements have been changed between Kesharao Jedhe Chowk and Sarasbaug and vehicle owners will be barred from going to Sarasbaug from Jedhe Chowk.
Vehicle owners going towards Sinhagad Road should travel from Jedhe Chowk to Satara Road to Laxminarayan Chowk to Mitramandal Chowk to Savarkar Chowk. The road from the flyover at Jedhe Chowk to Sarasbaug will be shut.
Commuters will have to take a left turn at Laxminarayan Chowk. Vehicles will not be allowed to travel by the subway from Vega Centre to Sarasbaug and commuters should travel via Ghorpade Peth garden, Rashtrabhushan Chowk to Hirabaug Chowk to their destination. The Traffic Department has said that as per the requirement, vehicles may be allowed to travel two-way on the one-way between Puram Chowk on Tilak Road to Jedhe Chowk.
