Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Reach New Heights with PM Modi’s Metro Initiatives

In a momentous event on March 6, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi Metro stretch and laid the foundation stone for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Nigdi Metro route. The ceremony, conducted through an online system, witnessed the participation of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

The newly inaugurated Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi Metro stretch covers a distance of 6 kilometers, enhancing connectivity and easing the metro journey for residents. Simultaneously, the foundation stone for the fully elevated 4.4-kilometer PCMC to Nigdi Metro route was laid, marking a significant step towards comprehensive metro connectivity in the region.

In addition to the metro projects, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated various projects and performed Bhoomi Pujan in Kolkata through the online system. This follows the Prime Minister’s earlier inauguration on March 6, 2022, of the 7-kilometer PCMC to Phugewadi Metro stretch and the 5-kilometer Vanaz to Garware Metro stretch. The continuous focus on expanding the metro network aligns with the need for smart and efficient transportation solutions in the face of increasing urbanization.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized the positive impact of Prime Minister Modi’s initiatives on Maharashtra’s development, highlighting the swift progress of projects in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar commended the momentum gained in Pune’s infrastructure development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. The Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi Metro stretch promises easier connectivity from Vanaz to Ramwadi, while the upcoming PCMC to Nigdi Metro route is expected to further benefit the city of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
