Pune: Action taken against illegal constructions in Kondhwa

PUNE: The PMC’s Building Construction Department zone 2 demolished three illegal constructions in Meetha Nagar in Kondhwa. Unauthorised constructions spread over 6, 886 sq foot were demolished.

Since the illegal construction was not stopped despite being served a notice, a team led by Deputy Engineer Rajesh Khade, Junior Engineer Vikram Kshirsagar and Sagar Sapkal took the action by using two JCBs, three breakers and two gas cutters with the help of other employees. They were guided by Superintending Engineer Yuvraj Deshmukh and Executive Engineer Hemant More. The Kondhwa police had provided extra security during the demolition.

Deputy Engineer Rajesh Khade of Building Construction Department zone 2, said, “In the future also, such action will be taken against illegal constructions by issuing notices. Citizens should cross-check all documents before buying flats.”
