Diya Painting Workshop

Pune: A Diya painting workshop was organised at Jijabai Shikshan Sanstha Primary School at Hadapsar by the Rotary Club of Pune Professionals and ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning) on the occasion of the upcoming Diwali Festival.

The workshop was conducted to entertain and educate students on creative and easy making of art with simple materials for festive seasons.

Mrs Harsha Joshi, Literacy Director & Mr Shaunak Naik, Youth Director from Rotary Club took the lead on the project with the support of Mrs Anushree Riswadkar, K12 Chair ISHRAE and Mrs Sujal Shah, Advocacy Chair at ISHRAE.

About 100 kids were present and they were given the sustainable resources for painting diyas. These kids were taught how to paint the diyas and they painted about 250 diyas. These diyas were given to them to be used during Diwali celebrations. Students were overwhelmed and thoroughly enjoyed the session.

Mr Nandkishor Kotkar, president of ISHRAE appreciated the efforts of the everyone to bring invaluable smiles on little faces.
