Pune: In a shocking incident in Nana Peth area two youngsters were stabbed with deadly weapons over dispute regarding gangster supremacy. A 29-year-old man who was seriously injured in this incident succumbed in a private hospital while undergoing treatment. The Samarth Police Station registered a murder case in this matter arrested six people including the leader of Andekar gang Bandu Andekar. Three minors have also been detained.
In this matter the leader of Andekar gang Suryakant alias Bandu Anna Ranoji Andekar (67) a resident of Nana peth, Krishnaraj alias Krishna Suryakant Andekar (33), Tushar Nilanjay Wadekar (24), Swaraj Nilanjay Wadekar (20),Puraram Diyaram Gujjar, Aakash Ramdas Kharat and Aamir Khan have been arrested. Three minors have also been detained.
Nikhil Akhade a resident of Ambegaon Pathar in Dhankawadi was seriously injured in the attack by Andekar gang. He died during treatment in a private hospital. Nikhil’ s friend Aniket Dudhbhate (27)is also injured. Dudhbhate has filed a complaint in Samarth Police Station.
According to the police, ” In Nana Peth area there is a entity between Bandu Andekar gang and Suraj Thombre Gang. Nikhil Akhade and Dudhbhate are friends of Thombre ‘s accomplice Somnath Gaikwad .Gaikwad has a dispute with Bandu Andekar and Krishna Andekar.
Somnath Gaikwad is currently in Yerawada Jail.
Akhade and Dudhbhate had left for Ashok Chowk from Shitala Devi Mandir Chowk from Ganesh Peth area on Monday evening. At that time , the members of Andekar gang attacked Akhade and Dudhbhate and seriously injured them. Akhade died during treatment.
The police had earlier registered a case of attempted murder and arrested him. Now section 302 of murder has been added to it.
Police inspector Pramod Waghmare is investigating the case.
The arrested accused have been sent to police custody till October 7.
