Pune: A suicide case of a 27-year-old man has come to light in Pune. The deceased took the drastic step in front of his girlfriend’s house as he was in a relationship with a girl who used to extort money from him by threatening to implicate him in a false case. The deceased relatives have expressed suspicion that he did not commit suicide but was hanged
The name of the youth who committed suicide is Ganesh Rajendra Tanwade a resident of Ganganagar in Fursungi. The deceased 26-year-old wife has filed a complaint in Hadapsar Police Station in the case. Accordingly, the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Sheetal Shedge, Surekha Dalvi and Srirang Dalvi all resident of of Rupi Colony in Bhekrainagar. The incident came to light on October 3 at 12 pm.
According to the information provided by the police, Ganesh Tanwade was married in 2015 and has two children. He used to drive cabs along with water proofing work. He was in a relationship with Sheetal Shedge, and she has repeatedly taken Rs 5 to 7 lakh from him. Also, Ganesh gave his wife’s ornaments to her. A few days ago Sheetal filed a police complaint against Ganesh. She also took the mobile from Ganesh for her own use.
When Ganesh went to demand his money back, Sheetal’s parents harassed him. On October 3, Ganesh went to him to ask for the mobile phone back. At that time there was an argument between them. After that, Ganesh was found to have committed suicide by hanging himself. Ganesh’s wife has expressed the suspicion that he did not commit suicide but he was hanged.
Police Sub– Inspector Khalde is investigating the case.
