Pune: Yesterday, on December 6, a complaint was registered at Loni Kalbhor Police Station against an accused for sexually assaulting and threatening to kill a 22-year-old girl. The accused woman lodged a complaint regarding this, stating the horrific ordeal through which she suffered in the months of October and November 2023.
According to the police complaint, the accused, Akash Ramesh Birajdar, a resident of the Handewadi area, engaged in a fraudulent relationship with a 22-year-old victim, a resident of Fursungi. Initially, he won over her trust by allegedly promising her marriage. Afterwards, he purportedly took the girl to a lodge near Vadki village, and while talking with her, the accused started making obscene moves.
Rejecting his further advancement, when the woman started departing from the scene, the accused appallingly established physical relations with the girl forcefully. Moreover, it has also been mentioned in the complaint that the accused threatened the girl to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.
Following this ordeal, a woman rushed to the Loni Kalbhor Police Station on Wednesday, December 6, and complained about the accused. In this case, police registered a case against the accused, Akash Birajdar, under IPC 376, 376/2/N, 354, and 506. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector More.
