Pune: 19-Year-Old Accused Molested Minor Threatening Suicide; Complaint At Kondhwa Police Station

Pune: A youth has been booked under the POCSO Act for harassing a minor girl by chasing and threatening her with suicide. On Thursday, December 14, a victim’s mother registered a complaint against the 19-year-old accused, Ramzan Abbas Patel, in this case at Kondhwa Police Station.

The 17-year-old victim and the accused are colleagues and work at the Western Complex in Pune Camp. According to the 35-year-old plaintiff, for the past few days, the accused has been constantly chasing her girl before and after work.

On Thursday night, when a minor girl was returning home, the accused again chased her. In the middle of the road, the accused obstructed her path and threatened her to commit suicide if she did not continue talking with him. The plaintiff also mentioned in the complaint that the accused further attempted to molest her while coming home.

Worried about the recent ordeal, the girl reported the incident to her mother after returning home. After that, the victim’s mother registered a complaint against Ramzan Patel at Kondhwa Police Station.

The police registered a case under IPC 354 D and also booked him under the POCSO Act. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Thorat.
