Pune: As the incidents of violence against women are increasing day by day in Pune city it is a matter of concern. A case of molestation of a 13-year-old girl has come to light in Nana Peth area in Pune. Also, the girl’s father was beaten up by the accused when he asked about the incident. A case has been registered against one person in this matter.
The victim girl’s father (38) has filed a complaint in Samarth Police Station on Thursday, September 14. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Aniket Santosh Gade under IPC 354, 354 (d), 323, 504 and POCSO Act. This incident took place on Tuesday, September 12 between 7.30 and 9 pm in a colony in Nana Peth.
According to the police, “The complainant and the accused live in the same locality. The accused molested the complainant’s 13-year-old daughter by whistling and misbehaving with her in an act that would bring shame to her mind. When the complainant asked the accused about it he abused him and beat him up. As soon as the complainant filed a complaint, the police registered a case against the accused. We are further investigating the case.”
