Pune: 11-Year-Old Child Died After Cricket Ball Hit on His Genital Part of the Body in Pune

Pune: A startling incident took place in Pune where an 11-year-old boy died after a cricket ball was hit on the genital part of his body. The incident took place at Jagadguru Sports Academy grounds in Lohgaon around 9 p.m. on Thursday. In this case, the Vimantal Police have registered a case of accidental death.

The name of the deceased child has been identified as Shaurya alias Shambhu Kalidas Khandve, and he was a resident of Lohgaon, Pune. Shaurya was a wrestler. As per the primary information, Shaurya was studying in class VI. On Thursday, he was playing cricket with his friends at Jagadguru Sports Academy ground in Lohgaon around 9 p.m.

At that time, suddenly one ball was hit on the genital part of his body; therefore, he fell to the ground. After some time, he tried to stand up; however, he again fell to the ground because of the increasing pain. As the pain became unbearable for Shaurya, his friends and people over there rushed Shaurya to the nearby hospital for treatment. But after a preliminary check-up, doctors declared him dead.

Shaurya’s body was autopsied at Sassoon Hospital. The Vimantal police said that the exact cause of Shaurya’s death would be known after the post-mortem report. Shambhu was the nephew of NCP office bearer and former deputy chairman of Haveli Panchayat Samiti, Bandu Khandve.
