Pune: In another contemptuous act of criminal series in the Loni Kalbhor area, a 32-year-old woman was brutally beaten and threatened to kill after demanding a physical relationship with her. In this case, the Loni Kalbhor Police registered a complaint under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code against the accused, Datta Rambhau Holkar (age-40, resident of Holkarwadi, Taluka Haveli), who is currently at large.
A 32-year-old woman living in Uruli Devachi and the accused are acquainted with each other as both are living in the same area. But for the past two months, the accused, Datta Holkar, has been chasing the plaintiff for some unknown reason.
Suddenly, on Sunday, when plaintiff was going for an errand, Datta Holkar came intimately close to her and demanded sexual pleasure from her, hailing her hand tightly. When the plaintiff started shouting for help, the accused purportedly beat and molested her. Further, it is also said in the complaint that he threatened the plaintiff with killing her if she did not agree to him.
Accordingly, the woman decided to lodge a complaint against the accused at Loni Kalbhor Police Station on Sunday, November 19. Acting swiftly, the police registered a complaint against Datta Holkar under IPC 354, 354A, 354D, 323, 504, and 506. Currently, Holkar is at large, and the police have issued a lookout circular against him. Further investigation is underway.
Notably, a few days ago, a similar incident took place in Loni Kalbhor Police Station limits, where a 20-year-old girl was molested by the accused on a road. These frequent incidences are raising serious concerns about women’s safety in public places in the Loni Kalbhor area.
