Prime Minister Modi Set to Empower Thousands with 1 Lakh Appointment Letters at National Rozgar Mela

PM Modi Visit Pune

In a significant move towards boosting employment and fostering national development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute over one lakh appointment letters to newly recruited individuals during the Rozgar Mela, taking place across 47 locations in the country. The event, scheduled for February 12 at 10:30 a.m., will be conducted via video conferencing to maintain safety measures amidst the ongoing pandemic.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has confirmed that the newly appointed recruits will be joining various central government departments and state governments, supporting initiatives such as the Department of Revenue, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Higher Education, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Financial Services, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and the Ministry of Railways, among others.

The highlight of the event is the laying of the foundation stone for Phase I of the Integrated Complex, “Karmayogi Bhavan,” in the national capital. This complex is designed to promote collaboration and synergy among the different pillars of Mission Karmayogi, contributing to a more efficient and cohesive administrative framework.

The Rozgar Mela is not just a distribution of appointment letters; it signifies a commitment by the government towards prioritizing employment generation. The initiative aims to create gainful opportunities for the youth, enabling their active participation in national development. It is anticipated that the event will have a cascading effect on employment generation, further empowering the youth.

Moreover, the newly inducted appointees will have the chance to enhance their skills through the Karmayogi Prarambh program, an online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. With over 880 e-learning courses, this platform offers flexible learning formats, allowing individuals to acquire new skills and knowledge ‘anywhere, any device.’

This step aligns with the government’s broader vision to bridge the skill gap, foster inclusive growth, and ensure that the workforce is well-equipped for the challenges of the modern era. The Rozgar Mela serves as a beacon of hope for thousands, providing them with not just jobs but opportunities for personal and professional growth.
