Pre-paid auto-rickshaw service resumes at Pune Railway Station, relief for passenger travelling during night

Pre-Paid Auto-Rickshaw Service

Pune: The pre-paid auto-rickshaw service at the Pune Railway Station will be resumed for the convenience of passengers arriving and departing at odd hours. It will particularly be useful for women and senior citizens.

The service was suspended due to some reasons in the past. It has started again now.

A meeting of the Rickshaw Pravasi Seva Sanstha, Pune was held on Tuesday (June 18) to restart the pre-paid auto-rickshaw booth. It was decided to resume the service. A proposal in this regard was presented to run the auto-rickshaw booth by a private entity.

DCP (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar has appealed to social organisations, unions and private companies to run the prepaid scheme at the railway station on an experimental basis. Those who are interested have to submit an application till June 26.
