For four decades, the Poona Hospital and Research Centre, operating under the Rajasthani and Gujarati Charitable Foundation, has been a beacon of compassionate healthcare in Pune. Recently, this esteemed institution celebrated its remarkable journey of dedicated service with an event filled with gratitude, recognition, and a glimpse into the future of healthcare initiatives.

A Landmark Celebration

The milestone event took place at the Siddhi Banquets on DP Road, Erandwane, Pune, where the air was thick with nostalgia and optimism for the future. Rajkumar Chordia, the Managing Trustee of the Rajasthani and Gujarati Charitable Foundation, took the stage to announce special initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility for all citizens. These initiatives include the introduction of health cards, comprehensive health packages, and the organization of health camps in collaboration with esteemed medical associations such as the Indian Medical Association (IMA), General Practitioners Association (GPA), and Medi Jain Doctors Association, Pune.

Honoring Long-Serving Heroes

Amidst the celebrations, the spotlight shone brightly on 25 long-serving doctors whose unwavering commitment has been instrumental in shaping the hospital’s legacy of excellence. Dignitaries, including President Devichand Jain, Vice President Dahyabhai Shah, and Joint Managing Trustee Purushottam Lohia, graced the occasion, symbolizing the collective dedication of the Rajasthani and Gujarati Charitable Foundation towards serving the community.

Purushottam Lohia, in his address, reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to its founding principles of social service and affordable healthcare. He emphasized the importance of continuing the noble endeavor initiated by the visionary Rajasthani and Gujarati brothers in 1985, ensuring that advanced medical care remains accessible to all strata of society.
