PMRDA Takes Swift Action, Dismantles Unauthorized Structures in Wagholi

In a proactive move towards urban planning and development, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) conducted a clearance operation on January 30, removing unauthorized structures in Kesnand, Wagholi. Deputy Collector Ramdas Jagtap, representing PMRDA, reported the successful removal of two unauthorized constructions in Indira City, Kesnand, Wagholi, covering an area of approximately 11,970 sq ft. The operation, executed with the assistance of a crane, involved the presence of PMRDA officials and staff to ensure a smooth process.

Monika Singh, Joint Commissioner of PMRDA, has issued an appeal to citizens, urging them to refrain from engaging in unauthorized constructions to maintain the integrity of urban planning efforts.

Addressing Traffic Woes:

This recent action is part of a broader initiative by PMRDA to curb unauthorized constructions and encroachments. On January 18, 2024, PMRDA took decisive steps by removing encroachments covering 8,227 square feet within the boundary of a 36-meter road from Shedge Vasti at Mahalunge to MIDC Chowk, Mahalunge. These encroachments, identified as a source of traffic congestion, prompted the authority to take action to alleviate traffic-related challenges in the area.

The removal of unauthorized structures is crucial not only for maintaining the aesthetic and structural integrity of the region but also for ensuring the safety and convenience of residents.
