Pune, August 09, 2023: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced a strategic initiative to bolster the last-mile connectivity for passengers of the Pune Metro by introducing 8 new bus routes for its Metro Feeder services.
The decision to expand the connectivity for Pune Metro commuters comes in response to the positive reception received by the previously launched routes. Officials of PMPML have declared their intention to establish 8 additional feeder routes originating from key Metro stations within Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
These new routes serve as an extension to the 7 routes that PMPML previously launched for Metro feeder services. Effective from August 10, 8 newly designated buses will commence operations along these fresh routes, further enhancing the overall commuting experience for passengers.
In addition to the new routes, PMPML officials have taken the initiative to extend services on select routes that garnered positive feedback from passengers. Additionally, adjustments have been implemented on routes that experienced lower passenger volumes.
The following are the newly introduced Metro feeder routes by PMPML:
- Metro Shuttle 1: Vanaz Metro Station to Vanaz Metro Station, with a frequency of 40 minutes.
- Metro Shuttle 3: Vanaz Metro Station to Anandnagar, with a frequency of 40 minutes.
- Metro Shuttle 15: Shivajinagar Metro Station to Pune Station, with a frequency of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
- Metro Shuttle 16: Pune Station to Mundhwa Gaon, with a frequency of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Metro Shuttle 17: Hadapsar to Shivajinagar Civic Court, with a frequency of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Metro Shuttle 40: Dange Chowk to Dange Chowk (Circle), with a frequency of 1 hour.
- Metro Shuttle 41: Dange Chowk to Dange Chowk (Circle), with a frequency of 1 hour.
- K 21: Bavdhan Gaon to Vanaz Metro Station, with a frequency of 50 minutes.
The introduction of these new feeder routes signifies a concerted effort by PMPML to enhance the accessibility and convenience of Pune Metro riders. By establishing reliable and efficient connections between Metro stations and surrounding areas, PMPML aims to provide a seamless and efficient journey for the passengers of Pune Metro.
