PMC’s Present: Longer Visiting Hours for Public Gardens on Kojagiri Poornima

On the upcoming occasion of Kojagiri Poornima, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to brighten the festive spirit with a heartwarming gesture. PMC has decided to extend the operating hours of its public gardens, underscoring the significance of offering open spaces for recreational activities to its residents.

The Garden Department of PMC has been instrumental in the development and maintenance of 211 parks, and it has even ventured into creating aquariums and zoological museums to enhance the overall experience for visitors.

In a bid to facilitate a memorable Kojagiri Poornima celebration, PMC has chosen to keep the parks within its jurisdiction open for an extended duration. As of the special day, these parks will welcome visitors from 6.00 am to 11.00 am and then again from 4.30 pm to 12.00 am. This thoughtful initiative underscores PMC’s commitment to ensuring that citizens have ample time to make the most of this festive occasion.

The move not only promotes community engagement and well-being but also reaffirms the significance of green spaces in urban life. These parks serve as vital hubs for leisure and enjoyment, attracting not only local residents but also visitors from around the world. PMC’s decision to extend visiting hours exemplifies the city’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community that cherishes and makes the most of its natural surroundings.

As Kojagiri Poornima approaches, the extended hours in PMC’s public gardens will offer a welcome opportunity for people to come together, revel in the festivities, and enjoy the tranquility of green oases within the bustling city.
