Somnath Bankar, the Ward Officer of Kalyani Nagar PMC, stated, “Recently, we took strong action against the encroachment by tea sellers on footpaths near Cerebrum IT Park Company. The encroachment led to company employees congregating for tea, resulting in the accumulation of litter, including plastic cups. We have issued stern warnings to the tea sellers about the consequences of their actions.”

In response to the littering issue, a fine of Rs. 3000/- was imposed on those found guilty of littering on public roads. Health Inspector Pradip Kumar Raut and Sanitary Inspector Avinash More played crucial roles in conducting the operation and ensuring appropriate measures were taken. The shopkeepers were directed to install dustbins in designated areas to promote responsible waste disposal practices. Additionally, the manager of Cerebrum Company received instructions to ensure that employees dispose of their garbage properly and refrain from littering in non-designated areas.

Pradipkumar Raut, PMC Health Inspector, explained, “We have taken stringent action by imposing a fine of Rs 3000 on all tea sellers for littering the premises. The footpath near Cerebrum IT Park Company was cluttered with plastic cups and other debris discarded by tea sellers and their customers.”
