NCP Pune City President Prashant Jagtap Seeks Cyber Police Assistance Over Threat Messages

Prashant Jagtap, the Pune City President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has reached out to the Pune Cyber Police seeking intervention in response to alleged threat messages received from an unknown individual. The messages, conveyed through both text messages and WhatsApp, have urged Jagtap to halt his election-related activities, accompanied by menacing warnings.

In a formal letter of request submitted to the Cyber Police, Jagtap provided specific details, stating, “There are some sociopaths who are constantly trying to threaten me in different ways. For the last four days, I have been receiving threats from the phone number 99879 24729 through text messages and WhatsApp messages to stop my election-related rallies or speeches I am currently doing, threatening me with dire consequences. I received the last message from the said number today on February 21, 2024, at 4:30 am.”

Expressing concern over the continuous nature of the threats, Jagtap has urgently implored the Cyber Police to investigate the matter promptly and identify the individual responsible for the alleged intimidation. The NCP leader has called for the application of appropriate legal measures against the perpetrator to ensure a swift resolution to the issue.
