Navratri Preparations in Pune: Traffic Restrictions for Ekvira Devi Temple Devotees

In light of the upcoming Navratri festival and the expected influx of devotees to the Ekvira Devi temple, the district collector, Rajesh Deshmukh, has taken the proactive step of issuing an advisory to regulate traffic movement and prevent congestion in the area. The restrictions will come into effect from October 15, coinciding with the commencement of the Navratri festival procession at the revered Shree Ekvira Devi temple located in Vehelgaon and Karla, Maval taluka.

Temporal Restrictions and Route Diversions

From October 15 to October 24, vehicular entry will be restricted on the route leading from Karla Phata to the Shree Ekvira Devi temple, encompassing both local and non-local vehicles. Additionally, during the period from October 21 to October 23, vehicular traffic will be curtailed between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM on the old Mumbai-Pune highway, particularly along the stretch from Lonavala-Kusgaon toll plaza to Vadgaon Phata road, Pune, and Khadakwasla-Kusgaon toll plaza road, Pune. To expedite travel from Mumbai to Pune, traffic will be rerouted from Vadgaon Phata to Talegaon Phata via an expressway route.

The notification will remain adaptable, with officials prepared to address any issues that may arise, and make revisions accordingly. It is urged that citizens cooperate by complying with the traffic changes outlined in the official order.
