MSEDCL Prepares for Pune’s Grand Visarjan Procession with Temporary Control Room and Field Engineers

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited (MSEDCL) Gears Up for Pune’s Visarjan Procession

As the vibrant city of Pune prepares for the grand Visarjan (immersion) procession of Lord Ganesha, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited (MSEDCL) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safety and convenience of the citizens. MSEDCL has established a temporary control room and deployed a dedicated team of engineers and staff to assist Ganesh mandals and residents with electricity-related issues during the festivities.

Control Room Near Modi Ganpati Premises

The temporary control room has been strategically set up near the Modi Ganpati premises, providing easy and immediate access to processions taking place on Laxmi Road and Tilak Road. This proactive measure is aimed at swiftly addressing any electrical concerns that may arise during the immersion procession period.

Mobile Vans and Expert Teams on Standby

To further enhance their response capabilities, MSEDCL has positioned mobile vans equipped with essential equipment at various locations along the procession routes. These vans will be staffed with engineers and MSEDCL employees ready to provide assistance as needed. The control room at Modi Ganpati premises will remain operational until the immersion process is successfully completed.

Ensuring Safety of Citizens

Safety remains a top priority for MSEDCL. In addition to addressing electrical issues, MSEDCL employees will monitor and ensure the safety of senior citizens and children in the vicinity of public Ganesh mandal immersion processions. Their focus is to prevent any inadvertent contact with high and low-tension wires, transformers, feeder pillars, and other electrical infrastructure.

Preventive Measures

To minimize risks, MSEDCL has conducted thorough inspections of public Ganesh mandals’ locations and procession routes ahead of the festival. Nails have been placed on feeder pillars along the procession routes to deter citizens, particularly children, from climbing them. These proactive measures aim to create a safer environment for all participants and spectators.

Emergency Helpline and Support

In case of any untoward incident or electrical emergency during the festivities, MSEDCL has established a dedicated helpline number for Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities, Ambegaon, Junnar, Maval, Khed, Mulshi, Velhe, and Haveli talukas: 7875767123. Additionally, citizens can seek assistance by contacting the toll-free helpline numbers 1912 or 18002343435.

MSEDCL’s comprehensive preparations reflect its commitment to ensuring a joyous and safe Visarjan procession in Pune, where thousands gather to bid adieu to Lord Ganesha.
