MNS activists booked for Vandalising medical college of Pune Municipal Corporation

Pune: The Faraskhana police have registered a case against the party workers of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for vandalising the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) Bharatratna Atalbihari Vajpayee Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday. The activists came into action after the hospital dean was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh for admission.The MNS workers had protested at 12 in the afternoon on Wednesday in the premises of the college located at Parge Chowk in Mangalwar Peth.

The police have registered a case against six to seven people including Ashish Sable, Prashant Kanojia and Dhananjay Gawli of MNS. Bhausaheb Mane, a senior technician from the PMC college has filed a complaint in Faraskhana police station.

The Dean of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College Dr.Ashish Shrinath Banginwar (54) was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Pune on Tuesday evening for demanding Rs 10 lakh bribe for the admission.

After the bribe incident the activists of MNS gathered in the premises of the medical college on Wednesday afternoon and vandalised a few rooms in the college. The vandalised three computers and two chairs in the medical college office. Case was registered against MNS activists and police sub-inspector Mane is investigating the case.
