MLA Sunil Tingre Proposes Exclusion of Lohegaon from PMC Limits if Development Remains Unaddressed

Vadgaon Sheri MLA Sunil Tingre has expressed his frustration over the Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) lack of action in addressing the issues faced by residents of Lohegaon. Tingre suggested that if the civic body does not address the pending grievances related to improper roads, potholes, water supply, and other concerns, then Lohegaon should be excluded from the PMC limits.

Tingre’s frustration stems from the fact that issues related to roads, potholes, and water supply in Lohegaon have remained unresolved for the past six years. Despite repeated appeals and complaints from the residents, the PMC has not taken adequate measures to address these pressing concerns.

On August 14, Vikas Dhakane, the Additional Commissioner of PMC, visited Lohegaon to inspect the long-standing problems faced by the citizens. During this visit, Dhakane assured the residents that funds would be collected from the state government for road repairs. He also mentioned that the concerned PMC department would work on devising an effective plan to resolve the road-related issues promptly.

During the inspection, Sunil Tingre highlighted the deplorable condition of the roads in Lohegaon, emphasizing that they pose a significant threat to the safety of motorists. Despite the dire condition of the roads, the Pune Municipal administration has failed to take adequate action, and the potholes continue to remain unresolved.

In addition to the road-related problems, Tingre also pointed out the issue of inadequate water supply. Despite being included within the PMC limits for the past six years, Lohegaon has not received sufficient water supply, causing inconvenience to the residents.

During the visit, MLA Sunil Tingre and PMC Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakane explored various development possibilities for Lohegaon. They inspected different locations within the area and discussed potential solutions for the ongoing issues. Several officials from the Road Department, including Chief Engineer Vijay Kulkarni, were present during the inspection, along with local residents and community members.

Tingre’s proposal of excluding Lohegaon from PMC limits if the development concerns remain unaddressed underscores the urgency of resolving these issues for the benefit of the residents and the overall well-being of the community.
