In a bid to address the longstanding issues plaguing the Old Mumbai-Pune highway and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in Khadki, Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole recently conducted a thorough review alongside officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

According to MLA Siddharth Shirole, the review meeting involved discussions with Additional Commissioner of PMC Vikas Dhakne and other senior officials to formulate effective solutions for the challenges faced by these crucial roadways.

“We are committed to addressing the issues concerning the Old Mumbai Pune Highway and Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in Khadki. The primary focus is on the widening of the Old Mumbai Pune Highway road, and plans are underway to initiate work on the next section beyond Jai Hind Talkies shortly,” stated Shirole.

A pivotal topic of discussion during the meeting was the transformation of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road into a two-way road. The administration has assured that this transition will be completed within the next 15 days, enhancing traffic flow and easing congestion.
