Maratha Reservation Advocate Manoj Jarange Patil Gears Up for Rally in Pune’s Khed

Manoj Jarange Patil, an ardent advocate for Maratha community reservation in Maharashtra, is set to organize a rally in Pune’s Khed on October 20. This rally follows his successful event in Antarwali Sarati village of Jalna district, where a lathicharge incident was reported last month, and it received significant support from his followers.

As per reports, Patil will visit protestors in Rajgurunagar, who have been on a strike demanding reservation for the Maratha community. He will later address the local community in the same area. Members of the Maratha Kranti Morcha have already begun preparations for the rally and are encouraging a substantial turnout from the community.

The issue of Maratha reservation in the state has been a cause for concern for the Maharashtra government, especially following protests that erupted across the state after the lathicharge on protestors in Antarwali Sarati village, who were demanding reservation. The state government has initiated efforts to include a maximum number of members under the Kunabi Maratha category for reservation. However, reports indicate that authorities are facing challenges in locating records of the community to include them in the Kunabi Maratha category. During a massive rally held in Jalna district, Jarange Patil issued a 10-day ultimatum to the state government to grant reservation to the Maratha community.
