Maratha Reservation

PUNE: A one-day stir will be organised on August 9 at Azad Maidan in Mumbai to demand that the Maratha community should get reservation of less than 50 per cent from the OBC quota. The percentage of reservation being offered in education and jobs after carrying out a survey of the population of various religions and castes should be reviewed. The convicts in the Kopardi case, who have awarded death punishment, should be hanged immediately.

The castes of OBC community should be surveyed again and census of OBCs should be carried out and progressive castes should be excluded and only the backward castes should be given 50 per cent reservation. Women who have qualified in PSI 2017 exam and RTO 2017 exam should be immediately given jobs, are some of the demands for which an agitation would be held. The agitation would also be held against MLAs of Maratha community.
