Lonand Station’s Level Crossing No. 2 Undergoes Temporary Closure for Subway Construction

PUNE: In a recent announcement, Ramdas Bhise, the Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, has conveyed that Level Crossing No. 2, positioned along the Pune-Satara section in close proximity to Lonand Station at railway kilometer 09/871, has been temporarily closed for a duration of three months. The closure is in effect to facilitate the construction of a subway as part of ongoing infrastructure enhancements.

According to the details shared, while this closure is in place, alternative routes have been designated for road traffic. Level Crossing No. 01 remains operational for vehicular movement from the Lonand side, offering an alternative route during the construction phase. Simultaneously, road traffic from the Phaltan side is directed to utilize Level Crossing No. 03, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in the vicinity.
