Legal Action Initiated Against Teacher Accused of Cruelty towards 3-Year-Old Child in Pune

Kothrud: A distressing incident involving a 3-year-old child and a 40-year-old teacher has led to legal repercussions, as allegations of inhumane treatment have prompted the police to take action and file a case against the teacher.

The incident unfolded in the Kothrud area of Pune, casting a shadow over the usually peaceful locality. According to reports, the teacher is accused of inflicting physical harm upon the young child, a student at a nursery in Kothrud. The allegations include instances where the teacher reportedly pulled the child’s hair and pinched her cheek. These distressing occurrences are said to have taken place between August 18 and August 21. Shockingly, it is also reported that the teacher even issued threats to the child, suggesting harm with a candle.

Following the filing of a formal complaint by the child’s concerned parents, the police have promptly taken action and initiated legal proceedings against the accused teacher. The charges registered against the teacher encompass Section 323 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, which address offenses related to causing hurt and criminal intimidation, respectively. Additionally, the teacher faces charges under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, reflecting the severity of the situation and the necessity to ensure the welfare of the child involved.
