In a moment of pride and recognition, the Pune branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has secured four prestigious awards for its outstanding performance in 2023. The accolades, two at the national level and two at the regional level (Western India Regional Council – WIRC), were presented to ICAI Pune Branch during the recent annual function in New Delhi.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, ICAI President CA Aniket Talathi, and Vice President Rajkumar Agrawal graced the occasion to honor the achievements of ICAI Pune Branch. The awards ceremony saw the Pune branch clinching the second prize at the national level for both the best branch and the best student branch (Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association) – WICASA. At the regional level, the first prize was awarded to the Pune branch of ICAI, while the second prize was secured by WICASA Pune.
CA Rajesh Agarwal, President of ICAI Pune Branch, and CA Sachin Miniyar, President of WICASA Pune, accepted all four awards on behalf of their respective organizations. The presence of Central Council Member CA Chandrasekhar Chitale, Vice President of ICAI Pune CA Amruta Kulkarni, Secretary CA Ajinkya Randive, Treasurer CA Hrishikesh Badave, Vice President of WICASA Pune Sairam Khond, Secretary Madhavik Shah, Treasurer Samiksha Shirsat, Sneha Vedpathak, Omkar Phapal, and Suhas Sawant added grandeur to the event.
The awards highlight the exceptional efforts and commitment of ICAI Pune Branch in various projects such as workshops, seminars, national conferences, and social activities throughout the year. CA Rajesh Agarwal expressed his gratitude, stating, “The award is dedicated to all the members, students, and hard-working staff of the ICAI Pune Branch.”
