Pune, August 8th, 2023: A startling incident has come to light in the Kalewadi Phata area of Pimpri Chinchwad, where a patient’s relative has lodged a complaint asserting that a gold chain worth Rs 1 lakh vanished from a hospital while a relative underwent an X-ray procedure. The allegation places suspicion on a female housekeeping employee working at the hospital.
According to the complainant’s account, the incident transpired on July 30, when he accompanied his female relative for medical treatment. As part of the assessment, the woman was required to undergo an X-ray. Upon returning home after the procedure, she discovered her gold chain was missing.
In response to the grievance, an official complaint has been lodged with the Wakad police station. The complaint alleges that the theft was orchestrated by a female housekeeping staff member employed at the hospital. The complaint has invoked Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to theft by a clerk or servant of property in possession of their master.
